I am a recent graduate of Azusa Pacific University with a B.A. in Psychology. I am taking some time off to save up for graduate school, where I hope to pursue my MFT and LPCC. I graduated Summa Cum Laude (with a GPA of 3.92). Although I majored in psychology, I also took extensive courses involving theatre, writing, speech, and philosophy. I have extensive knowledge of writing and editing, especially when it comes to APA formatting and research-style papers. I care about people and education and desire to help others succeed. I am especially interested in editing papers of any grade level. I am also willing to negotiate a per-page fee instead of an hourly rate, and am also willing to meet via Skype of in person to offer writing advice.
Experience
I have experience tutoring through Our Neighborhood Homework House in Azusa, CA, which specializes in tutoring elementary-aged children from underprivileged areas. I have experience tutoring in all elementary subjects. One thing that sets me apart is my experience tutoring special education curriculum. I have also privately tutored a 5th grader with severe behavioral and social disorders. I not only seek to tutor on particular subjects, but also love mentoring and coaching those I tutor to impart better all-around study skills, organization, and time management. I currently work for Life Pacific College as the faculty assistant, and have also worked in higher education as a tutor and teaching assistant in the field of psychology.

I have many well-loved hobbies, so in the name of being concise, I will simply list them: -hiking -reading (Harry Potter series is my all-time favorite) -journalling -backpacking -running -visiting museums -exploring new coffee shops -Settlers of Catan, Pandemic, and all other nerdy board games I also make learning a hobby, and am currently taking a Theories of Personality community college course just for fun.
