Cal Poly Pomona - BS, Applied Math
For me, tutoring is one of the prime examples of why the human race is so wonderful. We are able to share our knowledge with each other, collectively improving the collective power of the entire society by helping to educate an individual. My passion for tutoring began during my time at Fullerton College, where I studied Economics and Mathematics and tried my hand at tutoring. After working as a tutor in the math building, helping students with my own unique teaching style, I was soon spotted by a math professor who saw my potential. Soon, he placed me directly under a math professor, helping him instruct college-level math courses. Today, I study Applied Mathematics at Cal Poly Pomona University, and will soon be moving toward graduate school. Math is my passion in life -- not just to learn, but to teach as well. I love to volunteer in capacities other than teaching, and I am an active member of a group called the 501st, which strives to bring joy into the lives of children in hospitals by visiting them wearing Star Wars costumes. Looking forward, I want to eventually get a bachelor's degree in statistics. I love to try new and exotic dishes, either by eating them at restaurants or having fun cooking them at home.
